Misses South Africa, Cayman Islands and Nicaragua 2017
South Africa: it could not have been any different!
The absolute favorite took gold in South Africa. 21 year old Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of Sedgefield was crowned Miss South Africa 2017 last night. She is 1.72m tall and will represent South Africa at Miss World and Miss Universe 2017. Demi-Leigh hails from Western Cape.
She´s already being considered by pageant followers around the globe a huge favorite for Miss World and Miss Universe. One thing is for sure: Demi-Leigh is South Africa hottest bet in international pageantry since Rolene Strauss won the Miss World title two years ago.
Nicaragua has its representative for Miss Universe 2017
Berenice Quezada from El Rama was crowned Miss Nicaragua 2017. She competed with other 11 other candidates in the city if Managua. 1st Runner-up was Helen Triminio and 2nd Runner-up was Martha Meza.
Cayman Islands might have one of its strongest delegates in decades
West Bay contestant Anika Conolly, 27, was chosen over four other women to wear the Miss Cayman Islands crown, at Saturday night’s competition at the George Town Lions Centre.
Ms. Conolly also won a $70,000 scholarship to be used anywhere in the world, and the privilege of representing the Cayman Islands as a cultural ambassador.
Ms. Conolly also won Best Smile and Best in Gown.
She´s quite stunning and could pull a posite result in Miss Universe 2017. She is over the Miss World age limit, unfortunately.
