Miss Grand Japan 2020
Ruri Saji, from Nigata, has been elected Miss Grand Japan 2020. She will compete in the next edition of Miss Grand International. Ruri has a university degree in Shinto. Among her hobbies, we find classical ballet, jazz dance, playing golf, skiing, and yachting.
The new MGI Japanese representative speaks good English and has delivered the following message during the competition:
“Peace of mind is peace for humanity. I was raised in a 1,300-year-old family line of Shrine attendants. I think that learning about each other’s cultures, and respecting one another, will be the first step toward realizing world peace. By becoming Miss Grand International, as a symbol inheriting the heart and sensibilities of the Japanese people, I will bring our long-cultivated culture to the world stage”.
The 1st runner-up was Karin Kyotani, 2nd runner-up was Makaha Oguma, 3rd runner-up was Arika Wakabayashi, and rounding out the Top 5, as 4th runner-up, was Yuri Koezuka.
Congratulations and much success to the winner!
