Miss Grand Thailand 2020
Nam Patcharaporn, 22, the representative of Ranong province, is Miss Grand Thailand 2020, elected on September 19th at the Bitec Bangna Hall, in Bangkok. She was Global Beauties' choice for the crown, having confirmed her status of favorite in the conclusion of a fantastic television show. Valentina Figueroa, Miss Grand International 2019, was a VIP guest, while Coco Arayha Suparurk, Miss Grand Thailand 2019, and 2nd runner-up in Miss Grand International, crowned her successor.
Ranong is the least populated of all 77 Thai provinces, is located in the south of the country and is known for its beautiful beaches and islands. Nam, who has bachelor’s degree in English for business communication from Songkla Nakarin University Suratthani, is the first black woman to represent Thailand in Miss Grand International.
Rounding out the Top 5 were Indy Johnson, Miss Grand Pathumthani (1st runner-up), Patcha Patchaploy, Miss Grand Nakhon Si Thammarat (2nd runner-up), Juthamas Mekseree, Miss Grand Chiang Rai (3rd runner-up), and Nutnicha Srithongsuk, Miss Grand Mukdahan (4th runner-up).
The Best National Costume award went to Miss Grand Ratchaburi, Tiiya Kitiya, with her extraordinary floating market.
About Miss Grand International 2020
Organizers have made it official that due to the COVID-19 pandemic the international competition will no longer take place on October 25th, in Venezuela. A new host country and new dates will be released as soon as most worldwide airports' operations are back to normal.
