Since it was established in 1993, the contest has been hosted in Australia, Singapore, Philippines, China, Korea and Taiwan, and now it returns to Amazing Thailand for a sensational show!
From 22nd to the 28th November 2017 nearly 40 international models will converge in Bangkok to compete for the coveted title of Manhunt International 2017 and the many prizes which come with it.
Alex Liu from Singapore: the brave pioneer who made international male pageants a reality
Alex Liu, Manhunt´s creator and promoter, remembers the first difficult days of the competition:
"What a difficult time I had when I first started it, in the early 1990´s! I remembered how potential sponsors slammed down my phone calls, some even called me crazy! And others even threw my hand-typed written sponsorship proposals into the dust bins".
And he went on: "There were ups and downs, it was not always smooth sailing for me all the time. But my vision came to reality and Manhunt keeps on going strong after nearly three decades".
Alex Liu´s realization inspired others to follow his footsteps, including the Miss World Organization, which lauched "Mr World" in 1996, with its first edition being hosted by Istanbul, Turkey.
Today Manhunt International is one of the 5 Grand Slam male beauty competitions, along with Mr World, Mister Supranational, Mister International and Mister Globe.
The 18th Manhunt International will be elected in high style on November 27th, in Bangkok, Thailand. Here are some of the candidates already confirmed:
