MGI 2021: The competition kicks off with registrations and random interviews
The grand day has arrived! MGI 2021 officially began with the arrival in Phuket of the vast majority of candidates. Those who had already arrived were able to complete their registration for the competition. Candidates arriving today were interviewed live by the MGI reporters Champie and Miss Grand Myanmar 2020, Han Lay.
Soon after, they were taken to the hotel in sunny Phuket. On the first (and only) quarantine night, each contestant slept alone in a room, until her PCR results come out. The following day it´s time to find out who will be her roommate until the end of the confinement.
In interviews for Grand TV, the candidates commented that despite the many hours of flight to Phuket, they are immensely happy and eager to get started with the pageant´s activities.
The delegates who arrived earlier took the opportunity to take pictures on the beach or simply relax in the luxurious Four Points Phuket Patong.
Important announcement: “The results of this year's 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟱 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 round are as follows: Miss Grand Vietnam, Miss Grand Cambodia, Miss Grand Indonesia, Miss Grand Philippines, and Miss Grand Guatemala”, it was published on MGI Facebook page earlier today. These 5 lucky ladies will get the opportunity to go to a special meal, meeting Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of MGI.
