Miss Grand Int´l 2020: GB´s review of the Best in Swimsuit competition

The spectacular lebua at State Tower, in Bangkok, hosted the "Best in Swimsuit" competition for Miss Grand International 2020 this Saturday morning (March 20th). 62 candidates paraded on the 56th floor of the impressive building, with the Thai capital as background. The broadcast of the event, held on GrandTV, showed breathtaking images, having been highly praised by fans on the internet. Speaking of which, in less than 15 hours, more than 400,000 people had already watched the competition on GrandTV, a really impressive number!

Television presenter and Miss Grand Thailand 2017, Pamela Premika, was invited by Mr. Nawat Itsaragril to host the event and did a great job. The candidates paraded in MGI swimsuits, demonstrating once again the strength of this group, even with some stumbles, especially when they descended the staircase!

Take a look at what we have to say about the presentation of each of the candidates for the Miss Grand International 2020 title:

Albania, Fjorela Lezo - Her strength is her confidence. She did a proper presentation.

Argentina, Mariana Jesica Varela - Demonstrating what she came here for, Mariana stood out a lot in today's competition. She is beautiful, has a perfect body, and presents herself with lots of poise.

Bashkortostan, Albina Shaykhlislamova - Finally the girl from the Russian territory with a difficult pronunciation came out in the sunlight and surprised everyone in a positive way. She is elegant and has a supermodel look.

Belarus, Polli Cannabis - Correct presentation, good energy.

Bolivia, Teresita Sanchez Añez - Teresita also left the quarantine today. She got a little lost on the runway but showed some good stage presence.

Brazil, Lala Guedes - What a body! The photographers and fans covering the event were thrilled with the powerful catwalk of Lala Guedes, one of the highlights in today´s show.

Bulgaria, Viktoria Lazarova - Beautiful and graceful, Viktoria is one of her country's best representatives in Grand Slam contests for a long time. She has performed very well!

Cambodia, Chily Liv - Already ranked in the Top 20 of this year´s pageant thanks to the popular vote, Chily was at ease and delivered a proper presentation.

Canada, Sara Michelle Winter - This professional golfer has been gaining room in the competition and today showed her elegance, with the right attitude!

Chile, Valentina Benavente - Valentina has one of the most beautiful bodies in the contest and paraded with great elegance. She could smile a little more.

China, Fiona Tao - Fiona is not so commented on by fans on the internet, but in our opinion, she is the best representative of China in 8 editions of Miss Grand International. Tao did quite well today.

Colombia, Natalia Manrique Aguilar - Very graceful and with a beautiful body, Natalia charmed many on the runway.

Costa Rica, Gabriela Jara - Gabriela has a very beautiful face and an enviable skin color.

Crimea, Sofia Kim - Discrete, Sofia walks with the attitude of a catwalk model.

Cuba, Jennifer Sánchez Aguilar - Jennifer walks very well, it was unfortunate that she almost fell down the steps of the staircase. She recovered with grace, though.

Czech Republic, Denisa Spergerová - Spectacular in all aspects, today Denisa confirmed that she is in Thailand to fight for the first Miss Grand International title for the old continent. Magnificent showing!

Dominican Republic, Lady Leon - Lady has personal magnetism and that Caribbean va-va-voom that fascinates everyone! The DR jas joined the favorites roll!

Ecuador, Sonia Luna Menéndez - Sonia had an excellent week and has been growing in the competition. She did OK today, although it was not her best moment in Thailand.

Egypt, Virginia Hany - The Egyptian representative showed a little nervousness on the catwalk. She could smile a bit more.

El Salvador, Luciana Martinez Cienfuegos - Luciana drew applause even from the judges as she descended the stairs with such grace and confidence! She resembles Miss Universe 2003, Amelia Vega, and could be a surprise on the final night.

England, Stephanie Wyatt - Elegant and with a beautiful face, Stephanie did a fair job today.

Finland, Liina Malinen - Liina, who is a figurer skater, paraded with great grace. She was a pleasant surprise.

France, Marine Comby - Marine has a beautiful face and a pleasant personality. She is elegant but needs to show more confidence on the runway.

Germany, Arlinda Prenaj - Arlinda is a big standout in photos. Her face draws a lot of attention.

Guatemala, Ivana Batchelor - A young woman of unquestionable beauty and elegance, her walk today perhaps lacked a little more attitude.

Indonesia, Aurra Kharishma - Aurra has been doing an excellent contest. She did well today, although it has not been her best moment in the competition. Nonetheless, she keeps on fighting for the crown!

Iran, Ayda Mirahmadi - We love her confidence and “retro elegance” as if she came from a 1970´s Iranian movie, in which she played a member of the royalty. You go, girl!

Ireland, Tirna Slevin - Elegant and choosing a more traditional walk, Tirna was one of the good surprises this morning!

Italy, Filomena Venuso - It is contagious to see the joy and energy of this young Italian woman!

Jamaica, Monique Thomas - Beautiful and statuesque, we feel that Monique can go beyond what she presented today.

Japan, Ruri Saji - The lovely Ruri presented herself beautifully! She is so charismatic and charming.

Kenya, Irene Ng’endo - Attention, Bangkok! There´s a Kenyan hurricane invading the city! We love everything Irene did today: her attitude, catwalk, hairstyle, beauty! The locals went crazy for her, and so did we!

Korea, Hyunyoung Lee - The Korean candidate is very cute. She was a bit lost on the runway, yet, she looked adorable.

Kosovo, Frontina Gashi - Frontina is confident and knows how to explore her sex appeal on the catwalk.

Laos, Patthana Khidaphone - The representative of Laos is very elegant and was correct in her presentation.

Malaysia, Jasebel Robert - Jesebel has a lot of attitude on the runway.

Mauritius, Tania Rene - Very discreet throughout the week, Tania grows in two moments: in front of the cameras and when on stage. She delivered it well today.

Mexico, Angela Leon Yuriar - Today Angela showed what she came here for, showing an excellent figure and catwalk, and demonstrating confidence at all times on the runway.

Myanmar, Han Lay - Han did a good presentation and also stood out for her beauty.

Nepal, Ambika Joshi Rana - Ambika needs to gain more confidence and smile more. She is so charming!

Netherlands, Suzan Lips - Another good surprise from Europe was the Dutch delegate, showing an excellent figure, confidence, and great runway mastery.

Nicaragua, Teresa Pérez Moreno - Teresa is very graceful and has very good energy.

Nigeria, Chikaodili Nna-Udosen - With a beautiful face and full of attitude, the Nigerian rep delivered it well today.

Panama, Angie Keith - With a smile that lights up any room, Angie has done an excellent presentation. She demonstrated once again that she is a strong contender for the title!

Paraguay, Daisy Lezcano - Today Daisy stood out with her princess beauty and beautiful catwalk.

Peru, Maricielo Gamarra - Maricielo has one of the most beautiful figures in the competition and she knows it. Miss Grand Peru showed lots of confidence and entered the fight for an excellent placement.

Philippines, Samantha Bernardo - Samantha walks well, is confident and charismatic. Once again she demonstrated that she is in the fight for the only Grand Slam title that her country has not yet won.

Poland, Milena Sadowska - Milena is beautiful and has a great physical shape, however, we believe she exaggerated her movements when walking. She needs to slow down a bit at the preliminary competition to demonstrate her full potential.

Portugal, Sara Duque - Sara paraded with great confidence and showed a great figure.

Puerto Rico, Fabiola K. Valentin - Fabiola was on the verge of perfection earlier today! She has the body style that is very successful in this contest and knows that she does not need to be “over” on the runway to stand out. She did a perfect 10.0 presentation!

Russia, Guzel Musina - The Russian Barbie delivered a very elegant walk and has a beautiful body. She has a good chance to place.

Scotland, Helen Maher - With her leg injured, Helen had a hard time walking. However, being very courageous, she went all the way to the end, getting a lot of applause from the people present at the venue!

South Africa, Anronet Ann Roelotsz - Another positive surprise this Saturday morning, having dominated the runway and putting on a very good performance, was Miss Grand South Africa.

Spain, Iris Miguélez Méndez - Iris, as always, was very graceful. She walked with elegance and confidence.

Sri Lanka, Pratibha Sambodhi - Miss Grand Sri Lanka demonstrates a natural elegance when walking.

Sweden, Felicia Brunzell - Felicia has one of the most beautiful faces in the competition. Her catwalk, though, has some room for improvement.

Thailand, Patcharaporn Chantarapadit - Nam is another strong candidate who did not experience her best moment in the competition this morning. Still, she is beautiful and exudes charisma!

Uruguay, Jimena Martino - This soccer player was a pleasant surprise today: beautiful body, confident and with a very good catwalk, Jimena shinned.

USA, Evelyn Abena Appiah - Evelyn did one of the best presentations of the day and also stood out for her impeccable fitness. She just needs to smile more.

Venezuela, Eliana Roa - There is no denying to the fact that Eliana has lots of stage presence.

Vietnam, Nguyen Lê Ngoc Thao - Beauty, charm, and a good catwalk, marked the Miss Grand Vietnam presentation.

Wales, Kathryn Fanshawe - The always charismatic Welsh candidate paraded with a lot of energy and showed a beautiful figure.
