MGI 2021: Who will the winner be? Here is GB´s final review
Like in a chess match, pieces have been moving around on the GRAND board even before these 59 brilliant women arrived in Phuket. What we all wonder now is who will be the queen to make the smartest move and exclaim: checkmate!! After weeks following this strong group of delegates from a close distance, this is how we see it:
SUPER 11 - CROWN ALERT!!
The next MGI should be one of these 11 women:
BRAZIL - Lorena Rodrigues has been constant ever since she was crowned as Miss Grand Brazil, getting great comments and reviews from people everywhere. Nevertheless, after her memorable Preliminary Competition own show, she became, for several, “the one to beat”. She combines beauty, style, a sharp sense of humor, and a great personality. Brazil has been close to winning a Grand Slam title for a while, but hasn´t won one in 50 years! Lorena hopes to change that tonight…
COLOMBIA - Mariana Jaramillo has one of the most stunning faces and beautiful figures in the competition. She is also very elegant, speaks fluent English, and has been growing as a solid favorite. Eye on her!
COSTA RICA - With Adriana Moya, Costa Rica is definitely back in the GRAND GAME! Her catwalk is among the best in the group and her preliminary evening gown was simply WOW! She´s been chosen by Global Beauties as Miss Photogenic. The cameras love her, and so do we!
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - Our pick for “Best in Swimsuit”, Stephanie Medina is an eye-catcher with stunning looks and a fantastic personality. She´s ready to set the GRAND stage ON FIRE!!
ECUADOR - Ecuador´s Andrea Aguilera is a major favorite for the MGI crown. With a face to die for and some incredible sex appeal, Andrea lights up the room when she enters one! Thai have been expressing their love for her with flowers and gifts! She´s a front-runner, without a doubt!
INDONESIA - Sophie Rogan embodies the best qualities of a beauty queen and a supermodel. Her face is gorgeous and natural, her walk is fierce and at the same time, very elegant. Shopie is very pleasant and would be a wonderful queen!
PUERTO RICO - Viviane Diaz Arroy possibly has the best catwalk in MGI 2021, combining confidence and fierceness, showing that she really knows what she´s doing and mostly, what she wants! Her answers are smart and sharp. Expect Puerto Rico to shine, the woman is a machine!
SOUTH AFRICA - South Africa´s participation in MGI has always been fair, but discreet up to now. UP TO NOW, we said! Jeanè Van Dam came to change it and appeared as this year´s main positive surprise of the pageant. She´s here to prove that a girl’s attitude determines her altitude!
SPAIN - There are times when we look at Spain´s Alba Dunkerbeck and see Barbara Palacios, the Venezuelan woman of timeless beauty who won the Miss Universe crown in 1986, with captivating eyes and that fresh beauty. Her father is the windsurf legend, Björn Dunkerbeck, 41 times world champion! Alba seems to have her dad´s competitive spirit, which means that she will go for no less than gold! Here is another piece of curiosity about Alba: she was born in Andorra, a small independent country located between Spain and France which competed in a Grand Slam pageant only once (Miss World 2002).
VENEZUELA - Vanessa Coello is another “bomb” from the Preliminary Competition when she gave her very best and impressed many. Clever, friendly, and elegant, Vanessa is that person you just love to have around. When she gets the right hair and make-up production, she looks beautiful! Without a doubt, Venezuela is back as a Grand standout!
VIETNAM - Tien Thuc Thuy Nguyen has been strong since the beginning and has confirmed her status of favorite after a flawless preliminary presentation. Her “Blue Angel” national costume presentation blew us away! Vietnam could easily be Asia´s 2nd MGI winner!
THE STRONG POSSIBILITIES
Beauty pageants are not an exact science, which means that depending on performance and how they glow on stage when the time to compete comes, the bellow-mentioned women could turntables and rise to the top:
Australia´s Angolina Amores did well in another Grand Slam pageant in 2014, Miss Supranational. He has delivered solid presentations from day 1 here. We love Cuba´s Geysel Vaillant beauty and personality. Barbora Aglerová of the Czech Republic is confident and has a great figure. El Salvador, Iris Guerra, is the current International Queen of Coffee. She is sexy and gorgeous! France, Elodie Sirulnick, would not surprise us by placing in the Top 20! Her elegance and sweet personality make her so very special. Luisa Victoria Malz of Germany gave German pageant fans good reasons to smile and dream again. Exotic Guatemala, María José Sazo, certainly made herself noted and is confident enough to pull it! India, Manika Sheokhand, has the beauty and presence to do well for her country, a powerhouse in Grand Slam pageants. Then there´s Malaysia, Lishalliny Kanaran, a perfect combination of a stunning face and brains. Mexico, Mariana Macias, has “the body” and a super cook personality. Myanmar, Win Lei Lei Naing, is so elegant! We loved the energy Nathalie Yasmin Mogbelzada of the Netherlands showed in the Preliminary Competition! Her endless beauty and extensive pageant experience can take her to the Top 10 and beyond! Patience Idowochenema Christopher of Nigeria has been growing so much in these last few days! Shoo-in for the Top 20 and maybe further! You just can´t miss Katie Nairobi Caicedo of Panama on stage! Radiant Jimena Sosa of Paraguay has THE SMILE of the competition! Samantha Panlilio of the Philippines has done everything right so far, her countrymen have endless reasons to be proud. Portugal´s Ana Ferreira has a delightful personality and has performed strongly. Thailand´s Indy Johns is such a gem! She deserves to place and keep the Thai streak going!
THEY SHINNED, NO MATTER WHAT!
There are three competitors who might not be among the favorites but certainly gave a name to this year´s competition. Armenia´s Kristina Goharik Ayanian wants it so badly and she shows it! She made news headlines around the world for the way she handled her broken sandal´s situation, during the preliminary swimsuit competition! We have a feeling she will be one of the 20, becoming Armenia´s first-ever Grand Slam quarter-finalist.
Angola´s Márcia Menezes is pure energy and good vibes! She´s also so full of style! Márcia postponed her wedding to compete in Miss Grand International, with full support from her fiancé. That´s what love is all about!
Hooooong… KOOOOOOONG!!! Sen Yang put on a character that got her hundreds of fans around the globe! She´s dramatic, funny, intense. But can she make the cut?
GOING AGAINST THE ODDS!
This is such a strong group that we would not be surprised to see a couple of quarter-finalists coming out of this group! Watch out especially for Argentina, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bolivia, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Haiti, Honduras, Japan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and USA.
