Venezuela returned in 2003 with full power! Goizeder Azua won the Miss International title, Mariangel Ruiz was the 1st runner-up in Miss Universe and Valentina Patruno made it to the Top 20 in Miss World. For the 8th time, it was the Country of the Year!
The Dominican Republic came 2nd, after winning Miss Universe and placing in the Top 20 of Miss World. Ireland took bronze, after succeeding in Miss World.
