Czech Republic, 3rd in Miss International, made a considerable move, arriving at the 44th position (+6);
Croation, a debutant nation in 1992, at 146th place, kept on rising, moving to 86th in 1993, 76th in 1994, and 65th place in 1995;
Bulgaria, 90th place, 22 notches up, was the best mover of the year. Vietnam debuted in the Grand Slam with a top 15 placement in Miss International, kicking off in 105th place.

COUNTRY OF THE YEAR 1995: VENEZUELA
In 1995 Venezuela was the Country of the Year for the 6th time. With a flawless performance by Jacqueline Aguilera, the South American country conquered its 5th Miss World crown. In Japan, it was very close to have the first black Miss International winner, when Ana Maria Amorer came 2nd. Denyse Floreano also did quite well in Miss Universe, landing in the Top 6.
USA, the Miss Universe winner with Chelsi Smith, came 2nd, and Norway, after another Miss International victory, was 3rd.
