2014: ANALYSING THE MAIN CHANGES IN THE GRAND SLAM RANKING DURING THE PAST YEAR
After a fantastic year, Colombia earned two important positions, getting to the 5th GSR place;
Puerto Rico, 11th, up 1, reached its highest Grand Slam position up to 2014;
Thailand has made an important move, going 6 notches up, arriving at the 27th place;
Cuba, the Miss Grand International winner, moved 22 notches up, getting to the 55th place;
Indonesia also kept on getting stronger, moving from 72nd to 59th place (up 13);
Gabon, 107th, up 33, was the best mover of the year, after a sensational 3rd place in Miss Supranational.

COUNTRY OF THE YEAR 2014: COLOMBIA
After 56 years, Colombia not only conquered its 2nd Miss Universe title, with Paulina Vega , but it was also named "Country of the Year"! In Miss International, Zuleika Suárez came 2nd, while Monica Castañedo was 5th in Miss Grand International. Marlyn Jiménez made it to the Top 10 in Miss Supranational, and even with Jessica Garcia failing to make the cut in Miss World, Colombia was on top of all nations in 2014, after a magnificent Grand Slam year. India came 2nd and Puerto Rico 3rd.
