Miss Moldova 2019
Elizaveta Kuznitova, 19, a native of Tiraspol, was elected Miss Moldova 2019 earlier this week. She edged out other 24 finalists and will now go on to compete in Miss World 2019, in Thailand, on December 7th.
She received the crown from the hands of Tamara Zareţkaia, Miss Moldova 2018.
Veronica Gojan placed 2nd, while Felicia Ursan was 3rd.
Moldova became independent from the USSR in 1991 and started competing in Miss World in 2000. Its best result so far is a Top 40 placement in 2017, with Ana Badaneu.
