Indonesia first participated in Miss World in 1982 and 1983. After a long gap, it returned in 2005, and since 2011, its representatives have placed in Miss World (8 straight years). In addition to winning the Beauty With a Purpose competition on four occasions, Indonesia placed 3rd (2nd runner-up) twice in Miss World (2015 and 2016). However, it hasn´t had a Miss World winner yet, something that might be close to happen.

Congratulations and best of luck to Miss Indonesia 2019!
