Veruska Ljubisavljevic, last year's Miss World Venezuela winner, who got a court interdict to postpone this year's Miss Venezuela contest, scheduled for September 12th, has settled her dispute with the Miss Venezuela Organization. Following a mutual agreement by both parties, her court order was withdrawn. The Miss Venezuela Organization has agree to dend Ljubisvljevic to the 68th Miss World Contest in Sanya, China despite the fact that, at 27, she exceeds the age limit.

The agreement has also given the organization the freedom to continue with their plans to stage a pageant this year. A spokesperson for the organization stated that plans to stage the 2018 contest will now resume. The contest will now take place in the last quarter of 2018.
