Miss Ukraine 2018 Dethroned

Veronica Dídusenko, who recently won the Miss Ukraine 2018 title has lost her title and the opportunity to represent her country at this year’s Miss World final in China. Shortly after Didusenko’s win, the Miss Ukraine Organization discovered that their new queen was the mother of a four year old boy. As Miss World contestants are not allowed to have children, the organizers had to strip Didusenko of her Miss World Ukraine title. The Ukraine’s new representative for Miss World will be selected during a special competition on September 30th. Some of the young women who did not win one of the other two titles on the night (Miss International Ukraine and Miss Earth Ukraine) will take to the stage to compete to become the new Miss World Ukraine 2018.

GB Opinion: It’s a pity to see this beautiful young woman lose her title because she is the strongest winner from this country in years. However, the rules for international competition should be adhered to and it would also not be fair on her young son should she have won Miss World as the winners travel so frequently.
