Miss Grand Slam 2017: Meet the Top 16

We started with 128 beautiful young women representing countries and territories in every corner of the world. After 3 tough rounds, only 16 young women are left in running for Global Beauties' Miss Grand Slam 2017. One of them will be named our 20th Miss Grand Slam. In the third round of competition, the public vote counted 50% of final scores and our panel of judges votes tallied up the remaining 50%. It's time to meet our top 16:

Miss Universe 2017 1st runner-up Laura Gonzalez from Colombia

Chanelle de Lau equalled Curacao's best ever Grand Slam placement when she was named the 1st runner-up to Miss International 2017.

Aletxa Mueses from the Dominican Republic reached the top 40 of Miss World 2017 as the winner of the Miss World Sports fast-track.

History was made on the Miss World stage when Fatima Cuellar became the first women from El Salvador to place at this competition. She made it all the way to the top 15.

Aurore Kichenin from France was one of the favorites at Miss World 2017 and reached the top 5 on the final night.

Manushi Chhillar from India won her country's 6th Miss World title in Sanya last year, a title India had to wait 17 years for.

Indonesia won their second Grand Slam title last year when Kevin Lilliana was named her country's first Miss International.

Bunga Jelitha from Indonesia was one of the major favorites at Miss Universe 2017 but to the shock of many fans, she did not advance to the final 16. She's still in the running to become our 20th Miss Grand Slam though.

Kenya secured a second consecutive top 5 placement with Magline Jeruto also taking home the Miss World Africa title. Will they win their first Miss World title soon?

It was a close race until the end between Manushi Chhillar and Andrea Meza at Miss World but in the end Mexico had to settle for second place once again.

Maria Jose Lora gave Peru their first Grand Slam win since 2004 when she took home the Miss Grand International 2017 title in Vietnam.

Poland's Magdalena Bienkowska reached the top 40 of Miss World after also placing in the top 15 of Miss International 2016.

Romania had reason to celebrate when Bianca Tirsin was elected 2nd runner-up to Miss Supranational 2017.

Russia's Polina Popova was one of the major favorites to win Miss World 2017 and eventually finished in the top 10.

South Africa had to wait 39 years for their second Miss Universe title and it happened in Las Vegas last year when Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters took home the crown.

And the final spot in our top 16 of Miss Grand Slam 2017 goes to South Sudan's Eyga Mojus who made her country proud by placing in the top 10 of Miss Grand International 2017.

Congratulations to our top 16. They will battle it out in the fourth round, which will start next week. Only 8 of them will reach the quarter finals. Good luck to all of them.
