Miss TQI 2018: New Crown Unveiled at Press Conference
A press conference was held earlier today in Bangkok to officially announce details about the Miss Tourism Queen International 2018 Pageant in Thailand. ERM, the owners of the competition, has signed an agreement with local organizers Miss Ara International to stage this year's final on May 16th in Bangkok. The event is supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand as part of their Amazing Thailand 2018 campaign.
More than 60 countries and tourism regions from around the world will be represented this year. A huge focus of the pageant will be to promote Thailand as an outstanding tourist destination. Beauties from around the world will experience world class Thai hotels, food, scenic spots and the warmth of true Thai hospitality. "This contest will help promote the mission of the Thai Tourism Authority's 'Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018' campaign to promote Thai culture and reintroduce it to the world. Thailand has always been known as a great host country for events an we welcome tourists with our hospitality. We want to promote our rich culture and desire to maintain our environment through conversation. The activities will focus both on the Thai way of life and the conservation of the environment," Mr. Supranee Prapap, the Director of Marketing Services for the Tourism Authority of Thailand said.
During the conference, it was also announced the veteran pageant host, Matthew Dean will serve as the host for the live final which will be shown on Thai television and streamed live to the world. One of contestants will be crowned with a brand new crown that was unveiled at the press conference.
