Miss Supranational Denmark 2018
18 year old Celina Riel, the second runner-up to Miss Danmark 2018, has been chosen to represent her country at the 10th anniversary of Miss Supranational this November and December in Poland. During her national pageant, she won the People’s Choice Award and Best Charity Project. She stands 1.76m tall and will try to become her country’s first Miss Supranational on December 7th in Krynica-Zdroj, Poland.
Celina wrote to Global Beauties to tell us a little bit more about herself:
My name is Celina West Riel, I’m a 17-year-old student who grew up near the capital of Denmark. Just a month ago I competed with 29 other contestants at Miss Denmark, where I became 2nd runner-up and was awarded as “Miss beauty with a purpose” and “Readers favorite”. Now I will be representing my beautiful country at Miss supranational 2018 in Poland which I’m very excited for. In my spare time, I love to go to the gym, being together with friends and family and cooking delicious food.
Once I’ve made up my mind for something, I do everything to make my dreams come true. I was born with only the half of my left arm, and even though I was born with an arm defect I always live by the rule that I have to pursue my dreams and be an inspiration to other people. Therefore I’m an ambassador for the organization “The association for children with leg or arm disabilities.” I want to show other people that as long as you have a positive mind and a loving heart, you can do much more than you think.
I spend the two first years of my education studying International business economics and now I will complete my education as a receptionist at one of North Europe's biggest hospitality schools. One of my biggest dreams is to become a hotel manager abroad. I always loved to experience new things and cultures. I also love to meet new people who can inspire me. When I was only 14 years old I traveled to Shanghai where I was studying for a short period. I also went to Uganda with an aid organization called Hope Denmark, where I taught the students on a school in social studies. A huge experience that really touched my heart.
I'm so excited for the future might bring me and I’m looking very forward to represent my beautiful country at Miss Supranational in Poland and to meet my whole Supra family.
GB Opinion: Best of luck to this inspirational young woman. She has touched many hearts in her country and now she’s going to represent Denmark internationally.
