Mexico wins Miss Intercontinental 2017
Mexico's Veronica Salas Valleja was crowned Miss International 2017 last night at the Sunrise Crystal Bay Resort in Hurgada, Egypt. The 24 year old beauty is the first Mexican woman to win this title and the 46th Miss Intercontinental. The contest, which was pushed back from late 2017 to early 2018, saw 68 women competing for the crown.
Hot favorite, Katarina Rodrigues from the Philippines, had to settle for the runner-up spot, while Kathelijne Heppehuis from the Netherlands finished in third place. The top 6 were complete by Miss Brazil, Amanda Cardosa (4th), Miss Colombia, Lizeth Mendieta (5th) and Miss South Korea, Lee Sun Jin (6th).
