Miss Korea is Miss Supranational 2017 - GB Does It Again
And just as we predicted, it happened again! 23 year old Miss Korea, Jenny Kim, was crowned the 9th Miss Supranational at the conclusion of a spectacular event in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland. Kim, who is from Seoul, South Korea, outperformed 64 other contestants to make history by becoming her country's first Grand Slam winner. The stunning student of International Office Administration and English Language and Literature stands 1.73m tall and also represented her country at the 65th Miss Universe competition where she was named Miss Congeniality.
Miss Colombia, Tica Martinez, almost became her country's first ever Miss Supranational, just like the other 4 girls in the top 5 with her, but had to be content with the first runner-up spot. Miss Romania, Bianca Tirsin, and Miss Ethiopia, Bitaniya Josef, also scored their countries' best placement at this pageant when they finished as the second and third runners-up respectively. Miss Puerto Rico, Larissa Santiago, completed the top 5 as the fourth runner-up.
Making it all the way to the top 10 before being eliminated were the contestants from Costa Rica, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal and Thailand. The top 25 were completed by the delegates from Albania, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Serbia, South Sudan, Vietnam and Wales.
