Miss Universe 2017: GB's First Leaderboard

That time of the year is here again: The Miss Universe pageant is about to start! It is, without a doubt, one of the most competitive groups ever in the history of the pageant, specially now with IMG's direction in which they are looking a very complete titleholder.

But of course, it is first and foremost a beauty pageant, and our judges voted on who they believe will perform well in this first round.  Keep in mind that our leaderboard will be changing as the pageant's final approaches.

With nearly a perfect score, SOUTH AFRICA topped the leaderboard and would easily win the crown if the pageant was held today.  Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has been a favorite in social media since she was crowned in her home country, and is the complete package: Beautiful, smart and charismatic.

THAILAND's Maria Poonlertlarp came in 2nd place, after impressing the judges with her height and her command of six languages.  Will she follow Chalita Suansane's footsteps and enter the Top 6?

COLOMBIA's Laura Gonzalez came in 3rd place, trying to replicate the success of the previous Colombian representatives; then, with no surprise, is Miss USA Kara McCullough, an outspoken, gorgeous, educated, elegant nuclear scientist.  And then we have FRANCE, Alicia Aylies, whose unique looks can serve as an advantage in the competition.

Also entering the Top 15 positions were Philippines, Russia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Germany, Australia, Jamaica, Mexico and Spain. Any of these beauties can pull an upset come November 26th.

Are any favorites out there that we forgot?  Do you agree with our list?
