Miss Delta Amacuro wins Miss Venezuela 2017

The 65th Miss Venezuela Pageant took place in Caracas yesterday and it was 18 year old Sthefany Gutiérrez, Miss Delta Amacuro, who won the title of Miss Venezuela 2017. The pageant loving country's new queen stands 1.78m tall and will represent her country at the 67th Miss Universe Competition in 2018. It's only the second time in the history of the Miss Venezuela contest that this state has won the title.

26 year old Miss Vargas, Veruska Ljubisavljevic, was crowned Miss World Venezuela and will represent Venezuela at the 2018 Miss World contest if she is accepted by the Miss World Organisation.

Miss Barinas, Mariem Velazco, was crowned Miss Venezuela International. She is 19 years old and will travel to Japan next year to represent her country at Miss International.

Biliannis Álvarez, Miss Falcon, was named the first runner-up and Miss Amazonas, Megan Beci took home the second runner-up spot. The top 10 were completed by the delegates from Aragua, Distrito Capital, Miranda, Portuguesa and Yaracuay.

Global Beauties Opinion: Though we love the new winner, we do feel that the eventual winner would have been better suited for Miss World and Miss Vargas for Miss Universe. Both women are stunning though. It would have been nice to have seen Miss Falcon in the top 3.
