Manhunt International 2022 to be elected on October 1st

Thirty-four candidates from five continents are currently in the Philippines vying for the title of Manhunt International 2022. Created by Rosko Dickinson and Alex Liu in 1993, the pageant is the oldest-running men´s Grand Slam international competition on the planet. It is being hosted by AQ Prime and the final will take place at Okada Manila, on October 1st.

In the last few days, the candidates have been involved in a series of activities, including the press presentation:

Some absences were noted in the group of candidates competing for the title. Traditional powerhouses such as China, Sweden, and Türkiye, are not represented in this year´s pageant. Meet the candidates:

In 20 editions, only two countries have won the Manhunt International competition: Sweden (1998 and 2016), and China (2007 and 2011).

Europe has nine title. In addition to the two Swedish, the following European countries have also succeeded: Germany (1993), Greece (1994), France (2002), Türkiye (2005), Slovakia (2010), Spain (2018), and Netherlands (2020).

Asia has succeeded 5 times. Chinas, as previously mentioned, won it twice. The other Asian winners hailed from India (2001), the Philippines (2012), and Vietnam (2017).

The American continent, Oceania, and Africa, have two winners each. From the Americas, Venezuela (1999), and USA (2006); from Oceania, New Zealand (1997) and Australia (2000). The African winners came from South Africa (1995) and Morocco (2008).
