Nadia Ferreira crowns the new Miss Universe Paraguay

After making history for her country by becoming the 1st runner-up in Miss Universe 2021, it came the time when Nadia Ferreira had to crown her successor. Miss Universe Paraguay 2022 is Leah Ashmore, 27, who you might remember as Miss Grand Paraguay and MGI quarter-finalist 2017.

“I want to reach my ultimate goal, which is the Miss Universe crown, because my main aim with this pageant is not just to show a pretty face with a crown on my head, like a jewel and that's it. For me that crown is a key, my plan is to open many doors for future generations and to be able to expand and develop the social projects that I have”, said Leah Ashmore in an interview to “La Nacion”.

The 1st runner-up to Miss Universe Paraguay 2022 was Alejandra Sens.

Pop star Marc Anthony, who´s engaged to Nadia Ferreira, was present at the event to support his fiancé.

Thanks to Nadia´s huge accomplishment last year in Miss Universe, Paraguay jumped from 56th to 46th in the GB Miss Universe Ranking. Paraguay currently ranks 48th in the Grand Slam Ranking.

Miss World Paraguay 2022 is Dahiana Benítez Gatzke, 20, from Encarnacion. She was crowned by Bethania Borba, who competed in Puerto Rico and placed among the Top 40 quarter-finalists.

The 1st runner-up to Miss World Paraguay was Elicena Andrade.

Jazmín de la Sierra, a stunning model and DJ, is Miss International Paraguay 2022, completing the Grand Slam trio elected on Friday night.
