Dominican Republic won the Miss Teen Mundial 2022 title
The most prestigious international teen contest in the world took place once again in El Salvador, with the participation of representatives of 29 countries. The three-hour-long show culminated with the crowning of Miss Dominican Republic, Mariona Juncosa, 16, the one chosen by the judges. She was crowned by the outgoing queen, Solana Costa of Peru.
The 1st runner-up was Miss Nicaragua, Leylani Leyton, and the 2nd runner-up was Miss Curaçao, Da-Xia´N Philipa.
Rounding out the Top 6, were the representatives of Chile, Francisca Espinoza, Bonaire, Marjely Doran, and Puerto Rico, Mayria Michel.
Misses Spain, Andrea Avila, Portugal, Raquel Libório, Venezuela, Silvia de Figueiredo, and Peru, Shaní Ackerman, made it to the Top 10.
Among the Top 16 quarter-finalists were the candidates from India, Canada, El Salvador, Paraguay, Honduras, and Latin USA.
Miss Brazil was chosen as Miss Photogenic, Miss Paraguay was Miss Congeniality, while India won the Best National Costume award.
