Miss Universe Brazil 2022: meet the 5 finalists

After an online competition that included a series of interviews with representatives of 26 Brazilian states, 5 of them were selected to be in the final Miss Universe Brazil event, which will happen on Tuesday, July 19th, in São Paulo. The contest is now organized by the country´s new national director, Marthina Brandt, Miss Universe Brazil, and a Miss Universe Top 15 quarter-finalist in 2015.

The finalists are:

AMAZONAS, Rebeca Portilho
CEARÁ, Luana Lobo
ESPÍRITO SANTO, Mia Mamede
MINAS GERAIS, Isadora Murta
RIO GRANDE DO SUL, Alina Guastucci Furtado

Four of them have participated in national pageants in the past. Rebeca made it to the top 5 of Miss Universe Brazil 2021. At the same event, Isadora was a Top 10 semi-finalist. Luana Lobo was the 1st runner-up to Julia Horta when competing for the Miss Universe Brazil 2019 title. Meanwhile, Alina Furtado is the current 1st runner-up to Miss World Brazil 2021, Caroline Teixeira.

Mia Mamede has participated in Miss Universe Espírito Santo and in other pageants a few years ago.
