2012: ANALYSING THE MAIN CHANGES IN THE GRAND SLAM RANKING DURING THE PAST YEAR
Belarus, after winning Miss Supranational, became the Miss Supranational Ranking new leader. In the Grand Slam Ranking, it made a very impressive move, going from 77th to 56th place (up 21);
Australia returned to the Top 5, in 5th place, exchanging places with Colombia, then 6th;
Japan, 13th, went up 3 notches after winning its first Miss International title;
China, up 4, the 2012 Miss World winner, was then 40th;
South Sudan, Top 7 in Miss World, was the best mover of the year: it went from the 172nd position in the Grand Slam Ranking to 115th place (up 57 notches).

COUNTRY OF THE YEAR 2012: UNITED STATES
In 2012, for the 11th time, the USA was the Country of the Year. @oliviaculpo won the Miss Universe title and became one of the most famous Americans to have conquered this title. Claudine Book made it to the Top 15 in @missworld , while Amanda Delgado was a semi-finalist in Miss International. The US did not place in Miss Supranational, with Yamile Mufdi.
China, the Miss World winner, placed 2nd, while the Philippines, even without winning any Grand Slam titles that year, was 3rd (2nd in Miss Universe, 4th in Miss Supranational, Top 15 in Miss World and in Miss International).
