Miss Czech Republic 2020
As some countries start to open up and try to get to the so-called “new normal” stage, the Miss Czech Republic 2020/21 took place in Prague, when four Czech Grand Slam winners were crowned.
The winner, who will represent the Czech Republic in Miss World 2021, in November of next year, is Karolína Kopíncová, 22, and a Media and Communication student from Brno.
Taťána Makarenko, the Czech national director, a former beauty queen who´s been a semi-finalist in Miss Supranational and in Miss Grand International, explained that the other 4 finalists all enjoyed the status of “vice-misses”, after all, three of them will compete at Grand Slam level. They are:
Angelika Kostyshynová, 24, from Ústi nad Labem, Miss Supranational Czech Republic 2020/21;
Natálie Kočendová, 20, from Karviná, Miss International Czech Republic 2021;
Barbora Aglerová, 21, from Lovosice, Miss Grand Czech Republic 2020.
Veronika Šmídová, who placed 5th, will compete in the next edition of Miss Intercontinental.
The event took place at closed doors and it was attended solely by media partners, sponsors and family members of the 10 competitors.
