England wins Mr World 2019!
Jack Anthony Heslewood of England was elected Mr World 2019 on Friday, August 23rd, besting 71 other international delegates at the Araneta Coliseum, in Manila, Philippines. This was Mr World´s 10th edition in 23 years of existence.

The new Mr World is a qualified rocket scientist having completed his degree in Aerospace Engineering at the age of 21. His sister, Kirsty Heslewood, was Miss England and a Top 10 semi-finalist in Miss World 2013, in Bali.
Hours before the final event, Global Beauties named Mr England one of the three “hot favorites” for the title, along with South Africa´s Fezile Mkhize, who actually ended in 2nd place, and Mexico´s Brian Arturo Gonzalez, who placed 3rd.

The Show
Mr World 2019 was a great show, showing tremendous improvement from recent past editions. The parade of nations gave all 72 participants the chance to be viewed on stage, displaying some of their countries´ cultural identity, through music and dance. The stage was clean and sharp. There was some dancing as well as some nice moves on stage. Videos were well edited and entertaining. Megan Young was an excellent presenter, as usual. The Philippines did an awesome job as host country. And most importantly: results were FAIR AND SQUARE, which gives the title plenty of credibility.
What could have been different?
There could have been a nice and elegant evening wear parade for the Top 12, this is what MWO´s pageants still lacks: real competition on stage. But in overall terms, it was a fantastic show.
Reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de Leon of Mexico, and 2016 winner Stephanie del Valle, of Puerto Rico, were among the judges. Julia Morley, CEO of MWO, announced the final results.
There are rumors that Mr World 2020 will happen, which is great news. Our tip: replace the non-sense “Extreme Challenge” with “Beauty With a Purpose”. Yes, these guys can also make a difference in their societies.
The winner is deserving and will be able to work the Mr World brand well, being close to the pageant´s organizers. We wish him a fantastic year ahead!
Congratulations to all!
