Fourteen candidates competed for the title in an event organized by national director Katia Maes.

Jean-Marie Vandercasteele, GB´s correspondent and Miss World Nederland supporter, said about the winner: “She´s absolutely lovely, the kind of girl we see doing well in Miss World. She has the looks, the brains, the will to work in social projects, and on top of it all, she´s very professional”.

The Netherlands is one of few countries which have competed in all editions of Miss World since its inception, in 1951. The Dutch have conquered the Miss World title twice: in 1959 with Corine Rottschaefer, and in 1962 with Catharina Johanna Lodders.

Brenda will try to be the 3rd Dutch Miss World, in London, England, on December 14th.

Congratulations!

GB comment: We are impressed with the Netherlands in 2019, the country can compete strongly in Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Supranational so far. Way to go, Netherlands!
