Mexicana Universal 2019

Mexico already knows who will represent it in Miss Universe 2019: she is Sofia Aragon, 25, born in the city of Guadalajara. Sofia won the title Mexicana Universal 2019 representing the state of Jalisco and leaving other 30 finalists behind.

The show idealized by Miss Universe 1991 Lupita Jones, took place at the Azteca TV studios, in Mexico City, on June 23rd.

Mariem Velazco from Venezuela, the current Miss International, was a VIP guest at the event.

The 1st runner-up, the representative of Nayarit, Yuridia Durán, won the title Miss International Mexico 2020 and will travel to Japan next year to compete in Miss International 2020.

The 2nd runner-up, Regina Peredo of Puebla, will have Bolivia as her destination, competing for the title Reina Hispanoamericana 2019, also in November.

Mexico´s representative in Miss Universe 2019 is a talented writer who happens to be the author of two books. Sofia has a degree in Marketing and in 2015 she launched her own make-up line: Soswami Makeup.

She´s also studying to become an actress at Azteca TV.
