The 2019 MGI candidates got the chance to visit some of Caracas´ main tourist attractions. The beauties from around the globe discovered that Venezuela´s capital city is a vibrant place, with a rich history and culture.
At the Museo Bolivariano, a museum dedicated to the memory of Simón Bolívar, a hero in many Latin American countries, displays a large collection of important artifacts and paintings dating back to the 18th century.
They´ve also been to the Birthplace and Home of Simón Bolívar (Casa Natal del Libertador Simón Bolívar), a seventeenth-century house where the man responsible for the Venezuelan independence was born. It´s considered a significant tourist attraction and one of few houses from the colonial era which have survived in central Caracas.
The Paseo Los Próceres (The Heroes' Walk), a national historic landmark located near Fort Tiuna, and the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army, showcasing the statues of the heroes of the War of Independence, honoring the independence struggles of Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela, was also visited by an exciting group of MGI candidates.
