GB Awards 2018: Miss Grand International wins "Best Pageant Activities"

The 2018 GB Awards starts awarding Miss Grand International as the winner of the category “Best Pageant Activities”. Once again MGI candidates had top of the notch activities from the moment they set foot in Myanmar, including a classy opening conference and presentation (see video bellow), a local culture “hands-on” workshop, visits to temples and important tourist attractions, a trip to visit stunning islands located on the Andaman Sea, several gala dinners and events, all webcast live, allowing the fans, no matter where they are, to feel part of it. MGI truly allows the candidates to experience the host country culture, which is a major plus.

Miss World came 2nd, showing that in terms of activities it has been improving tremendously in the last couple of years. In Sanya contestants participated in local carnival celebrations and visited many points of interest, also with a non-stop agenda. The bronze medal goes to Miss Universe, who struggled to get a host country but in the end got Thailand and lots of fun activities as well.

Miss International (4th place) fell short to getting bronze, showcasing some amazing activities for its candidates, valuing the Japanese culture. Miss Supranational ended in a still distant 5th place. Although it´s slowly improving its pageant activities (this year the candidates stayed in an excellent hotel in the weeks preceding the final days of competition), this is an area that the Poland based event must put some work in.

WINNER: MISS GRAND INTERNATIONAL - 73 points
2nd - Miss World - 57 points
3rd - Miss Universe - 51 points

4th - Miss International - 46 points / 5th - Miss Supranational - 33 points
