Concurso Nacional de Belleza (Colombia) is the new license holder for MGI

Sheyla Quizena is Miss Grand Colombia 2018.

Concurso Nacional de Belleza, the most tradition pageant organization in Colombia, responsible for electing Señorita Colombia and sending the South American country´s representatives to Miss Universe, Miss International and, since last year, Miss Supranational, has bought the rights to send the Colombian delegate to Miss Grand International as well, holding now 4 of the 5 Grand Slam pageants´licenses (Miss Mundo Colombia has the Miss World license since the 1990´s).

Sheyla Quizena, from Barranquilla, Atlantico, is the first Miss Grand Colombia under the new organizers. She is 21 years old, 1.71 m-tall, and in October she will travel to Myanmar, to compete for the Miss Grand International title.

GB comment: Big national organizations have recently started noticing the quality and growing importance (Grand Slam status) of pageants such as Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International, and have started working with them. It´s a good move, especially taking into account the media exposure these organizations have in their countries. Best of luck to Colombia in Miss Grand International!!
