Miss TQI 2018: Visit to Koh Samed
Report and Photos by Adi Perkasa / Edited and Published by Andre Sleigh
Following a hugely successful charity auction attended by the Governor of Rayong Province, it was another early start for the 55 young women competing for the Miss Tourism Queen International 2018 title. Upon their departure, the delegates from Australia, Denmark, Indonesia and Philippines were given a gift by the Holiday Inn Rayong to thank them for the wonderful way in which they promoted the hotel.
The first destination of the day Suphattraland Rayong, another fruit farm. Here the girls enjoyed the opening ceremony by the local team before snacking on a variety of typical Thai fruits, including papaya, mango, star fruit and durian. The girls also visited a rambutan plantation where they got to pick the fruit themselves.
The team then headed to Samed Island for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Global Beauties got the opportunity to photograph the girls on the beach. Some who sizzled in front of the camera were the delegates from Brazil, Romania, Latvia, Bolivia, Mongolia, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Dominican Republic and New Zealand. The delegates from Australia, Bali, Belgium and Vietnam also made a strong impression.
Tidbits:
* Belgium, Indonesia and Thailand have been very friendly throughout the competition and always greets our photographer with a smile. Thailand always says hello when she sees our reporter and knows him by name, showing that Thai people are incredibly warm and friendly.
* Denmark is a wonderful ambassador for her country and a true sweetheart. While our reporter was taking photos in the hot sun, she brought him a bottle of water.
* The ladies from New Zealand, Brazil, Singapore, Japan, Bolivia and Dominican Republic have also made a strong impression with their vivacious personalities and positivity.
The delegates will head back to Bangkok today to start preparations for Wednesday's grand final.
