The reigning Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, touched down in Manila last weekend for the second visit of her reign to the Philippines. Accompanied by members of the Miss Universe Organization to discuss the possibility of a possible hosting deal this year, Nel-Peters immediately set off to attend events leading up to the World's Strongest Man competition. She was also reunited with her two sister queens, 2016 winner Iris Mittenaere from France and the Philippines' Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach.

Though speculation had been building that an announcement about this year's host country would take place, MUO President, Paula Shugart only coyly said that the there is a possibility but that the media and public should 'stay tuned'. The short trip to the Philippines ended with Front Row's Grit and Glam Fashion Show with the top 3 of the World's Strongest Man competition.
