Miss Rwanda 2018
18 year old Liliane Iradukunda from the country's Western Province was crowned Miss Rwanda 2018 at the Kigali Convention Centre last night. She was also named Miss Photogenic. Iradukunda stands 1.7m tall and will represent her country at the next Miss World contest, which might be held in China this November. Shanitah Umanyana was named the runner-up, while Natacha Ursule Irebe finished in third place. Former Miss France (2000) was one of the judges alongside Miss Rwanda 2016 and the country's first delegate at Miss World, Jolly Mutesi.
GB Opinion: She is not your run of the mill beauty queen type but she's got a very interesting look. We are delighted to see that Rwanda put on such a great event that was streamed online. It's always great to have a strong interest and we hope to see the country do well in international pageants in the future.
