MGI 2018: Candidates from Africa Final Review
Seven African countries are represented in Miss Grand International 2018. It´s a good group of candidates, and we believe at least one of them might end up in the Top 20 or even in the Top 10.
TOP 10 POTENTIAL
Zambia is Africa´s safest bet this year, in our opinion. Despite her wrong evening gown choice for the preliminary competition, she´s quite beautiful and smart, in addition to all the experience she carries from her participation in Miss Universe. We believe she will be in the Top 20, with potential to reach the Top 10.
TOP 20 POTENTIAL
Sierra Leone is quite pretty and has a very good figure, she could easily snap Zambia´s place in the Top 20, or even advance with her. Tanzania has one of the faces of the competition and we love her fashion style. But her figure may not fit MGI´s standards. We shall see.
THEY MAY PULL A SURPRISE…
With such a strong group of candidates, they might not have been major standouts, however, these for amazing young women have had their good moments in the pageant and could pull a surprise. Cape Verde has a strong stage presence and was chosen as the best dressed delegate by GB Fashion Patrol at a gala dinner; Ethiopia placed among GB´s 20 best figures in swimsuit; Ghana WOWed our Fashion Patrol member Peter Sereno when walking the runway in her stunning green evening gown; South Africa is a perfect lady: always elegant, friendly, polite. She did everything right.
