MGI2018: Candidates visited the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, in Bago

On Saturday, October 13th, the 76 Miss Grand International candidates visited the The Shwemawdaw Pagoda, often referred to as the Golden God Temple, located in Bago, a city founded in 900 aD. At 114 metres (374 ft) in height, the Shwemadaw holds the record for the tallest pagoda in the country. Shwemadaw, along with the Shwedagon and Kyaiktiyo, are famous Mon pagodas.

The beauties from aroung the globe were amazed by the beauty and peace of this sacred place. Myanmar is, after all, a country full of surprises!
