Miss World 2017: Dominican Republic wins Sports and advances!
Miss Dominican Republic, Aletxa Mueses, has become the first delegate to reach the "Final 40" of Miss World 2017 after winning the Miss World Sports Fast-Track in Sanya this afternoon. It's the second time the island nation has taken home gold in the Sports Challenge - the first time being in 2011.
Alanna Smith almost made it two in the row for last year's champions, the Cook Islands, narrowly missing out on a sport in the top 40. Helina Hewlett from the British Virgin Island took home the bronze medal.
The Red Team were the overall winners of the Sports Challenge.
Congratulations to all the winners!
