Philippines Wins Reina Hispanoamericana 2017

Teresita Wynwyn Marquez (25) was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, last night. Not only is it the first time her country has won this title, but she was also their debut contestant at this pageant.

Akisha Albert from Curacao was named the Vice-Queen or Virreina and Laís Berté from Brazil finished as the first runner-up. The top 6 were completed by Maria Victoria D'ambrosia (2nd runner-up) from Venezuela, Karla Berumen (3rd runner-up) from Mexico and Katherine Añazgo (4th runner-up) from Bolivia.  

Cuba, Paraguay, Chile and Peru were semi-finalists. In total, 27 countries competed for the title.
