Miss Universe US Virgin Islands 2017
28 year old pageant veteran, Esonica Veira was crowned Miss Universe U.S. Virgin Islands 2017 earlier today. She will represented the U.S. Virgin Islands at the 66th Miss Universe competition on November 26th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Veira is no stranger to pageants. Apart from being named the fourth runner-up to Miss Supranational 2013, she also made it to the top 15 of Miss World 2011 and was one of the "50 Most Beautiful Women in the World" by GB.
The runner-up was Aria Garcia. Should she have won, she would have been the first transgender contestant to have made it to the Miss Universe finals. Joanne Jeffers finished as the second runner-up. The pageant was held in the United States.
GB: Congratulations to Esonica. We are thrilled that she will finally be able to compete at Miss Universe.
